In this assignment, I was tasked with redesigning an experience to be thoughtful to the needs of a specific generated persona. The experience I chose to redesign was the GRUBHUB check-in kiosk at the Chick-Fil-A at Miami’s Armstrong Student Center. It was very eye-opening to design for a specific person who has needs/wants/abilities that differ from my own. I often think about how things could be redesigned as I navigate my daily life, but usually through the lens of my own personal tastes, needs, etc. I enjoyed having a random persona to design for, because it allowed me to think about how something that works for me might not work well for someone else, and how design can always strive to be more inclusive.
